How do I transfer files to my web site?

You must transfer your files to our web server using File Transport Protocol (FTP). If you have a PPP Internet account and need FTP software, you can easily locate an FTP package for your platform by logging on to www.tucows.com. Online services like AOL, CompuServe, and Prodigy have a built-in FTP interface.

What do I need to do before I can have a Web site at Hoster.com?

Hoster.com deals with all the technical issues involved in putting up your site. All you need to have is Internet access from either a local Internet service provider (ISP) or a national online service (AOL, Prodigy, Netcom, etc.). All of these services provide you with e-mail and access to the Internet which includes web access and File Transfer Protocol (FTP). You can use FTP to send (upload) your web site files to Hoster.com. If you did not create your site already, Hoster.com provides you with a selection of potential sites which can be configured online in our Build-A-Host section.

How do I update my web pages?

You can use Frontpage to make changes to your web site. When you publish your changes the site will automatically be updated. If you are not using Frontpage to develop your site, you can use WS_FTP to replace the old files with the new ones using identical names, and it will automatically reflect the changes you have made to the files.
